Bali introduces new tourist levy — $10 USD mandatory from Feb 2024
Bali implemented a mandatory tourist levy of IDR 150,000 (~$10 USD) per foreign visitor. The fee is separate from visa costs.
The Bali Tourist Levy applies to all foreign tourists entering Bali. It is NOT an airport tax — airport taxes are already included in your flight ticket. The levy can be paid: Online before arrival at lovebali.baliprov.go.id (recommended), or at payment points on arrival (longer queues). Payment is per-person, not per-household. Children under 2 are exempt. You receive a QR code confirmation. Some hotels and tour operators include it in packages — confirm before paying twice. The fund goes to Bali's environmental and cultural preservation programs.
