Singapore has mandatory death penalty for trafficking: 15g+ heroin, 30g+ cocaine, 500g+ cannabis. Possession of smaller amounts: up to 10 years + caning. No exceptions for medical cannabis from other countries. Singapore does not recognize foreign medical marijuana prescriptions.

Sale and import of chewing gum is banned (medical/dental gum with prescription is exempt). Bringing gum into Singapore for personal use can result in a fine up to SGD 1,000 (~$740). Chewing gum in public: up to SGD 2,000. This is genuinely enforced.

Singapore has some of the strictest anti-smoking laws in Asia. Prohibited: all air-conditioned venues, all bus stops, parks, reservoirs, sports facilities, bridges, 5m radius of any building entrance. Fine: SGD 200 (~$150) on the spot, up to SGD 1,000 for repeated offenses. Designated smoking corners exist but are limited.

The National Environment Agency actively inspects for standing water. Found in your accommodation: up to SGD 5,000 fine for the occupant. Report any standing water issues to NEA immediately.

First offense: SGD 300 (~$220). Repeat offenders: Corrective Work Order -- cleaning public areas in a reflective vest for up to 12 hours (photographed by media). Spitting: SGD 1,000. Feeding pigeons: SGD 500.

Failing to flush a public toilet: SGD 150 (~$110). Public restrooms have attendants who report violations. This is actively enforced.

SGD 500 (~$370) fine. This includes all food, drinks, and chewing gum. Water is technically prohibited too. No exceptions.

Crossing within 50m of a pedestrian crossing: up to SGD 1,000 or 3 months imprisonment. First offense typically SGD 20-50 on-the-spot fine. Enforcement is regular in CBD areas.
